Historically The Dubai Creek divided the city into two main sections: Deira and Bur Dubai. Although it impeded the entry of ships due to current flow, the creek remained an important element in establishing the commercial position of Dubai, being the only port or harbour in the city.

One of the most beautiful and photographic locations in Dubai, The Creek is a natural estuary of seawater piercing into the city. The alluring scenery consisting of traditional Arab Dhows, Abras, which is a small water taxi which sails through the creek and Yachts with water birds splashing all around and captivating it’s spectators. Whether it’s just taking a stroll or having a good time on an Abra ride on the Creek, these are simple yet sure ways to enjoy the gracefulness of Dubai.

From the Creek you have a breathtaking view of the famous Dubai’s Skyline. It is one of the historic points of Dubai. Visitors tend to fascinated by the exhilaration of the cities. The perfect point to watch the Dhows and the Creek from is an Abra.

On an enjoyable Abra ride up to the Al-Maktoum Bridge, you are able see the grand trading port. Whether it’s strolling or exploring The Dubai Creek on a Dhow, it serves as an astonishing view to its onlookers. Customary boats will take you on an electrifying usually hour long trip from the Abra embarkation points to the tip of the creek, inland to the Maktoum Bridge that passes on the way to the city’s historic and modern landmarks.
